We are the Pod people...

Commit your way to the LORD;

trust in him, and he will act. (Psalm 37:5 ESV)

Saturday morning, our Pod was delivered, a 16'x8'x8' mobile storage unit. Yesterday we began to fill it with what little we have left after our going-out-of-business sale last weekend and donations to charity. We have downsized greatly (no exaggeration), yet still have a lot of odds and ends to get into that Pod, which is about half-full as I write this (dawn on Memorial Day).

Everything must be loaded today; the Pod gets picked up tomorrow. From here it will go to Ohio, then be returned to us in Indiana in about 10 days, about 5 days before I start my first class at the seminary.

Tomorrow we will stay at my mother's for until we head northeast, likely before dawn on Saturday. If all goes according to plan, we'll be in Ft. Wayne early on Sunday evening. We should have the keys to our new place on Monday morning and functioning wi-fi at some point that same day.

So. With the exception of a bit of feline and uxorial pre-moving anxiety, things are moving along as they should. (I gave the cat a test dose of a prescription to mellow him out earlier this morning... Maybe I should slip a little into my wife's coffee...)

We had a nice visit with family last night to say farewell, and our daughters have been helping us get packed-- it's been nice having this time to spend with them before we say goodbye on Friday.

T minus 4 days and counting! (And God's still got it!)
